Shark of the Seven Demo......Updated 9/24/00

This demo is appoximately 15MB. For a smaller, non-interactive version that displays only a small subset of the game's features, click here: Mini Demo (<2MB)

Please view the README file and the license agreement below before downloading. You will need a ZIP file extraction utility such as WinZip to decompress the demo after downloading.

If you don't look at the readme file, you should at least check out the keyboard quick reference! (hold down SHIFT while clicking on this link to save the keyboard quick reference to your hard drive for later use)

Minimum system requirements for the Shark of the SevenTM demo :

Pentium 233 with 3-D accelerator (see below for supported hardware)
640x480, 16-bit display
32 MB RAM
50 MB free hard drive space (approx. 15 MB download, 25 MB after install, and enough swap-space for Windows to run properly)
DirectX 7.0 or greater (available for free from Microsoft) with the most recent drivers for your video card

Recommended system requirements:

Pentium II 266 or greater, with one of the 3-D accelerators listed below (under "Video Cards")
800x600, 16-bit display
64 MB RAM
>50MB free hard drive space
DirectX 7.0a or greater, with the latest drivers for your video card

Download and installation instructions:

  1. Click on the "Click here to download the demo!" link to begin downloading. the Shark.zip file (~12 MB).

  2. Extract the file to an empty folder on your hard drive.
  3. Run Setup.exe from the folder where you extracted the files. The InstallShieldTM WizardTM will guide you through the rest of the installation.

Video Cards:
'Shark of the Seven Demo' has been fully tested on the following 3-D accelerators:

The demo will probably function properly on DirectX-compatible video cards that use the same chip sets as the above cards (Voodoo2, Voodoo3, nVidia Riva TNT, and ATI Rage 128). Other DirectX-compatible video cards may be used, but results may vary. Make sure that you have the latest DirectX-compatible drivers for your video card. Also be sure that you have installed DirectX 7.0 (or greater) on your system.

PULSECODE INTERACTIVE LLC LICENSE AGREEMENT

LICENSE AND CONFIDENTIALITY: PulseCode Interactive LLC ("PulseCode") grants you the right to install the enclosed software and related documentation (collectively, the "Materials") onto a single computer for your personal use. You may not use, copy, modify, sell, transfer or disclose any part of the Materials except as provided in this Agreement.

RESTRICTIONS: You may not:

  1.Sublicense the Materials;

  2.Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the enclosed software;

  3.Make copies of the Materials other than for back-up purposes, and you may not use the back-up copies other than as a replacement for the original copy. You must include on the back-up copies all copyright and other notices included on the Materials; and

  4.Export the Materials in violation of the export control laws of the United States of America and other countries.

Demo Software: PulseCode hereby grants to you the right to use the demo software on your personal computer. You agree to indemnify PulseCode and its affiliates against any loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with the use, marketing, licensing or sale of the demo software or the maintenance, support or other services or activities related thereto.

TERMINATION: Upon any violation of any of the provisions of this Agreement, your right to use the Materials shall automatically terminate and you shall be obligated to return to PulseCode or destroy all of your copies of the Materials.

OWNERSHIP AND COPYRIGHT OF MATERIALS: Except for the license expressly granted hereunder, PulseCode retains all rights, title and interests in and to the Materials and all copies thereof. The Materials are copyrighted and are protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. You acknowledge that the Materials are valuable trade secrets of PulseCode. You may not remove the copyright and other proprietary rights notices from the Materials. You agree that this Agreement shall be retained with all printed and electronic copies the software and documentation constituting the Materials. You agree to prevent any unauthorized copying of the Materials. Except as expressly provided herein, PulseCode does not grant any express or implied right to you under PulseCode patents, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secret information.

NO WARRANTY; NO LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES: THE MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL PULSECODE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF INFORMATION) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE MATERIALS, EVEN IF PULSECODE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, no warranty is made that the enclosed software will generate computer programs with the characteristics or specifications desired by you or that the demo software will be error-free. THESE DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THIS AGREEMENT. Because some jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for damages, the above limitation may not apply to you and you may have other legal rights that vary by jurisdiction.
